There is a huge debate when it comes to Glossy and Matte screens. This typically applies to people looking to buy an Apple Macbook Pro. I personally am writing this article on a Macbook Pro with a Glossy screen as we speak.
It comes down to personal preference. There has only been a few times when I had a hard time seeing what was on my screen due to the glare or the reflection. Those times were also outside. I dont know about you, but I dont like working outside. I like being able to see the nice outside weather, but working outside in the weather makes me want to go play, rather than work.
Unless you plan on working outside all of the time and you enjoy looking at a shiny crisp screen, then I would go with the Glossy. The Matte looks too dull in my opinion, and since I work on this machine 24/7, I choose Glossy. It looks prettier.
Like I said earlier, it comes down to your personal preference. I suggest trying to look at both screens before you buy.
If you are trying to find out which to get if you have a Macbook, better luck next time. You only get Glossy.
